Bithnah Fort

The Bithnah Fort is located in the hamlet of Al Bithnah, 17 km from Fujairah.This fort, constructed in 1735, is a stunning and famous example of Arabic art and architectural design.The Bithnah fort was built strategically to safeguard the surrounding villages against Wahabi invasions.Entry to this tourist site is free.

The Bithnah Fort, located 17 kilometers from Fujairah in the town of Al Bithnah, is one of the UAE's oldest forts. It is one of the most important UAE tourist attractions since it commemorates Fujairah's long history of warfare fought between the 18th and 19th centuries.

Apart from its historical significance, the Bithnah Fort is distinguished by its architecture, which is made of golden stone, mud, brick, palm wood boards, and adobe. The fort provides breathtaking views of the region surrounded by the Hajar Mountains.

Best Time: Saturday through Thursday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Friday from 2:30 p.m. to 4:30
