Fujairah

Fujairah is the only one of the seven emirates that is not on the Arabian Gulf. Instead, this renowned tourist spot is located on the UAE's eastern coast, separated from the rest of the emirates by the steep Hajar Mountain range. Aside from being the UAE's business hub, Fujairah is a popular tourist destination due to its cultural attractions, clean beaches, diverse water sports, sparkling coastline, and dramatic scenery.

Though a lesser-known emirate in the UAE, it is a favorite among true wanderlust souls looking to spend their vacation away from the crowds and litter of famous tourist locations. Scuba divers and snorkelers can discover the diverse undersea marine life in the Gulf's crystal-clear waters. The postcard-perfect beaches soothed by the calm waves of the Arabian Gulf entice beachgoers to rent sun loungers at Dibba and Al Aqah, relax in the sun during the day, and dine lavishly at Gonu Bar & Grill.

Fujairah has an excellent nightlife for party animals, who may enjoy quiz nights at McGettigan's or sip on their favorite cocktail at Tropicana Bar or Zorba Lounge. For culture enthusiasts, must-see attractions include the Al Bidyah Mosque, the UAE's oldest mosque, the Sheikh Zayed Mosque, the UAE's second largest mosque, and the Fujairah Fort, the Arab world's oldest stone castle.
